Send Us Your “Thank You” Notes
and Celebrate Success

Good teaching and the remarkable legacy it creates need celebrating.
We’re compiling a book of ‘thank you’ letters from pupils and students, to put into print examples of how teachers can build confidence, open minds and even change lives.

If you’re a teacher, working now or retired, we’re asking for your help. Please start rooting through those files, email inboxes and backs-of-cupboards for pupils’ letters (or excerpts, notes and e-mails) that you would like to share, whether they’re funny, moving or fill you with pride.

We’d love to hear from you – and please pass the word around!

  • By e-mail from this website. Please include your letter(s) as an attachment, either as a scan (.jpg) or a Word document, or in the main body of your e-mail.
  • By post, to: Celebrate Teachers, PO Box 125, Monmouth, NP25 9BA.
Please send photocopies rather than originals, as we are unable to return any items.

The Look of the Book

The letters or messages we select for the book would be typeset (not produced in facsimile) and would not be attributed to the pupil who wrote them or directly to you. We are of course keen to recognise success, so should any of your submissions be selected, we would include your name in the acknowledgements at the beginning of the book (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).

Champagne Draw

To celebrate the launch of the book, we will be offering a case of Champagne to the first five contributors' names pulled out of the mortarboard.

About the Editors

Eleanor Bird, a writer and art history lecturer, and Annie Constantinou, a training consultant and writer, were both lucky enough to have wonderful teachers who influenced the direction of their lives.
